Elise Makani
Elise Makani (born Elise Lindgren; formerly Elise Watson) was a registered nurse and domestic-violence survivor in Baltimore. She provided long-term home nursing for Charlie Rivera and Logan Weston and became part of their extended household. Elise was married to Mo Makani and was the mother of Amber Makani, Jace Makani, and Alika Makani.
Nursing Career
Elise was already working as a registered nurse and as Mo’s colleague on the Rivera-Weston care team by 2036. She later became one of Charlie’s primary nurses, alongside Tasha Porter, while Mo coordinated the household’s care.
Her documented work included clinical assessment, emergency triage, medical advocacy, and long-term home nursing. She remained part of the care team for more than thirty years.
Family and Core Relationships
Mike Watson, Amber, and Jace
Elise’s first marriage, to Mike Watson, was abusive. Their relationship began before Amber’s February 2034 birth, but the exact relationship and marriage dates have not been established. Mike was the biological father of both Amber and Jace.

Elise and Mo worked together for approximately a decade before their professional friendship became romantic. They began dating before Jace’s injury and later married.
Elise alone called Mo by his middle name, Keoni. Mo called her Lissy in private. He became Amber’s chosen father and adopted Jace after Mike was imprisoned for attacking him. Mo and Elise later had Alika together.

Elise was a white American of German-Scandinavian heritage. Through marriage, she participated in Mo’s Native Hawaiian family and supported her children’s connections to that family without claiming Native Hawaiian ancestry for herself.

Elise was approximately five feet nine inches tall, with a slender build, fair freckled skin, long blonde hair, and hazel eyes.
Later Life
Main article: Charlie and Logan Deaths (2081) - Event
Elise remained with the Rivera-Weston care team through Charlie and Logan’s final years. She was present with Mo and Tasha when Charlie died at home in 2081. Tasha and Mo washed and dressed Charlie at home before Grace performed the formal mortuary preparation for cremation. Elise continued supporting the household through Logan’s final three days and was beside him with Tasha and Mo when he died. After Logan’s death, Elise and Mo used his late-life transfer equipment to wash, groom, and dress him while Tasha handled the required calls and paperwork. Elise shaped Logan’s coils, dressed him with Mo in a soft dark shirt Charlie had loved on him, and tucked Charlie’s scarf beneath Logan’s hand before Grace performed the formal mortuary preparation.
After both deaths, Elise, Tasha, and Mo created the shared account @TeamRiveraWeston and posted a black-and-white photograph of Charlie and Logan’s intertwined hands. Their joint statement ended, “Rest easy, boys. We’ve got the porch light on. Always.”
